The present invention relates to a method to install an assembly type handrail. In particular, the method comprises: a first step of installing a plurality of lower joints (510) on the bottom surface by being spaced apart at a predetermined interval; a second step of inserting each post (400) into a hollow hole of the plurality of lower joints (510); a third step of penetrating the hollow hole of each middle joint (110) into a top part of the post (400); a fourth step of fastening each upper joint (310) to the top part of the post (400); and a fifth step of fitting a middle rail (200) and an upper rail (300) to horizontal cross a plurality of middle joints (110) and a plurality of upper joints (310), and fixating the middle joint (110) to the post (400). Accordingly, the installation weight is light, work is simple, easy, and safe, and working time is short, thereby being economic. In particular, provided are effects for removing worries about a claim generated from a connection part and the like, facilitating assembly/disassembly, and installing and assembling subsidiary facilities, such as a safety sign and work, etc., without additional materials and facilities.
