POLYCRYSTALLINE TRANSPARENT UP-CONVERTING CO-DOPED ALPHA-SIALON CERAMICS AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
The present invention relates to transparent alpha-sialon ceramics in which erbium and thulium are co-doped, and a production method thereof. The infrared ray transmittance at a wavelength of 3,000 nm when a molded body is 0.2 mm in thickness is 80% or more. The observed hardness and fracture toughness of sintered alpha-sialon ceramics are higher than those of other commercial optically active polycrystalline transparent ceramics such as YAG and Y_2O_3.
본 발명은 어븀과 툴륨이 도핑된 투명한 알파사이알론 세라믹스 및 이의 제조방법에 관한 것이다. 성형체의 두께가 0.2mm 일 때의 3000nm의 파장의 적외광 투과도가 80% 이상인 것이 특징이며, 소결된 알파사이알론 세라믹스의 관찰된 경도와 파괴인성은 YAG, YO를 비롯한 다른 상업적인 광학적 활성 다결정질 투광성 세라믹스보다 높다.
