The present invention relates to a heat insulation material for a water meter protecting case provided in the water meter protecting case, preventing water meter freezing, and including a heat insulation body integrally formed such that an accommodating space is provided on the lower portion side therein, an inside step portion being formed on the upper end portion side, an upper through hole being formed to extend downward from the inside step portion and communicate with the accommodating space, and a lower through hole being formed on the lower portion side such that a water inflow pipe and a water outflow pipe are inserted on the bottom portion of the accommodating space to be positioned inside the accommodating space; a projection portion protruding to the outside horizontal direction along the side portion of the heat insulation body; an upper stopper where a stepped portion is formed on the upper portion side to come into close contact with and be inserted in accordance with the inside step portion of the heat insulation body, a handle portion being formed on the upper end surface of the stepped portion, a through hole being formed in the horizontal direction from the side portion of the handle portion, and the upper stopper integrally extending downward from the stepped portion to come into close contact and be inserted in accordance with the upper through hole of the heat insulation body; and a lost prevention string preventing upper stopper from being lost with the heat insulation body and the upper stopper installed to be interconnected.

본 발명은 수도미터기 보호통 내에 구비되어 수도미터기의 동파를 방지하는 수도미터기 보호통용 보온재에 있어서, 내부의 하부측에 수용공간이 마련되도록 일체로 형성되어지되, 상단부측에는 내측 단턱부가 형성되며, 내측 단턱부에서 하부측으로 연장되어 수용공간에 연통되는 상부통공이 형성되고, 하부측에는 수용공간의 바닥부 상에 수도의 유입관 및 유출관이 삽입되어 수용공간 내부에 위치되도록 하부통공이 형성되는 보온몸체; 상기 보온몸체의 측부를 따라 외측 수평방향으로 돌출 형성되는 돌기부; 상기 보온몸체의 내측 단턱부에 대응되게 밀착 삽입되도록 상부측에 단턱부가 형성되고, 단턱부의 상단면에 손잡이부가 형성되며, 손잡이부의 측부로부터 수평방향으로 관통공이 형성되고, 단턱부로부터 하부측으로 일체로 연장 형성되어 상기 보온몸체의 상부통공에 대응되게 밀착 삽입되는 상부마개; 상기 보온몸체와 상부마개가 서로 연결되게 설치되어 상부마개가 분실되지 않도록 방지하는 분실방지끈;을 포함하여 이루어짐을 특징으로 한다.
