The present invention relates to a toilet, which, when a siphon trap is blocked by a foreign substance like toilet paper, rotationally opens a blocking plate blocking an auxiliary flow path to discharge the foreign substance with defecation put in a water reservoir through the auxiliary flow path. The toilet according to the present invention comprises: a main body installed at the upper side of a discharge hole installed on the floor, and provided with the water reservoir; a water tank seated and installed in the main body and keeping water supplied to the water reservoir; the siphon trap having a ?-shaped form composed of a vertical portion and an arc portion, wherein a lower end of the vertical portion is connected to the discharge hole and a tip end of the arc portion is connected to the water reservoir; the auxiliary flow path having one end connected to the tip end of the arc portion and the other end connected to a portion of the vertical portion; and an opening and closing means for manually opening and closing the auxiliary flow path.
본 발명은 사이펀 트랩이 휴지 등의 이물질 등에 의해 막힐 경우 보조 유로를 차단하고 있는 차단판을 회전 개방하여 보조 유로를 통해 물 저장부에 담긴 용변과, 이물질을 배출할 수 있는 변기에 관한 것이다. 이러한 본 발명에 따른 변기는 바닥에 설치된 배출구 상부에 설치되며, 물 저장부가 구비된 본체; 상기 본체에 안착 설치되며 물 저장부에 공급되는 물을 보관하는 수조; 수직부와 호형부로 된 "?"자 형태로 이루어짐과 더불어 수직부 하단은 배출구와 연결되고, 호형부 끝단은 물 저장부와 연결되는 사이펀 트랩; 일단은 상기 호형부 끝단과 연결되고, 타단은 수직부 일부분과 연결되는 보조 유로; 및 상기 보조 유로를 수동으로 개폐하는 개폐수단;을 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 한다.
