ROAD SIGN BOARD USING LIGHT GUIDE PLATE HAVING IMPROVED VISIBILITY
The present invention relates to a road sign and, more specifically, to a road sign using a lightguide plate with improved visibility. According to the present invention, in regard to the road sign using a lightguide plate, in order to provide a road sign which can more efficiently improve visibility, a general lightguide plate is used, wherein the lightguide plate is formed of a translucent panel penetrated by light while having a light source placed on a flank of the translucent panel instead of a rear side, thereby increasing illuminance with light spread into the translucent panel. Furthermore, when ″V″-shaped cutting treatment is conducted with regular intervals and patterns on a part corresponding to a road signal part, of the surface of the translucent panel, the measured illuminance can be maximally increased to enable the lightguide plate to become brighter with higher illuminance by itself, thereby providing a road sign with improved visibility to nighttime drivers. Moreover, according to the present invention, since the specific treatment is conducted on the part corresponding to the road sign part, of the surface of the translucent panel, production costs can be lower and product efficiency can be higher than other road signs increasing visibility by using special substances or optical fibers.
본 발명은 도로표지판에 관한 것으로, 보다 구체적으로 시인성을 개선한 도광판을 이용한 도로표지판에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 도광판을 이용한 도로표지판은, 보다 효율적으로 시인성을 개선시킬 수 있는 도로표지판을 제공하고자, 일반적인 도광판을 이용하되, 도광판이 빛이 투과되는 투광성 패널로 형성되면서 상기 투광성 패널의 후면이 아닌 측면에 광원을 배치하여, 상기 투광성 패널 내부로 빛이 확산되면서 조도를 높이고, 더 나아가 상기 투광성 패널 표면 중 도로표지부에 해당하는 부분에 일정 간격 및 패턴으로 "V" 커팅 처리를 할 경우, 상기 측정된 조도를 최대한 높여 도광판 자체적으로 더 높은 조도로 밝힐 수 있어, 결국 야간 운전자들에게 보다 개선된 시인성을 갖는 도로표지판을 제공할 수 있다. 또한, 본 발명에 따른 도광판을 이용한 도로표지판은, 상기 투광성 패널 표면 중 도로표지부에 해당하는 부분에 특정 처리를 하여, 다른 특수 물질을 사용하거나 광섬유 등을 사용하여 시인성을 높인 도로표지판에 비하여 생산 원가가 낮고, 생산 효율이 높다.

The present invention relates to a road sign and, more specifically, to a road sign using a lightguide plate with improved visibility.
