Continuous method of preparing high quality slaked lime slurry from low quallity unslaked lime and method of neutralizing acidic gases using high quality slaked lime slurry obtained therefrom
The present invention relates to a method for preparing liquid calcium hydroxide. The method comprises: a mixing step of continuously mixing water at a temperature of 40-60℃, recycled in a water tank, with unsliced lime such as low-quality unsliced lime so as to continuously obtain a mixture thereof; a hydrating and grinding step of initiating the reaction of the unsliced lime and the water by stirring the mixture so as to hydrate the unsliced lime into calcium hydroxide and grinding particles of unsliced lime and particles of calcium hydroxide so as to obtain calcium hydroxide oil; a step of primarily wet-classifying the calcium hydroxide oil so as to remove impurities; a wet-grinding step of further wet-grinding the calcium hydroxide oil in a wet-grinding apparatus so as to obtain liquid calcium hydroxide; a step of secondarily wet-classifying the liquid calcium hydroxide so as to remove impurities and milling beads therefrom; a step of measuring, in real-time, a concentration of the liquid calcium hydroxide using an inline densitometer and automatically adjusting the amount of the raw material according to a desired concentration; and a step of storing the liquid calcium hydroxide in a liquid calcium hydroxide storage. According to the present invention, the method is advantageous of being used to continuously prepare high-quality liquid calcium hydroxide quickly and efficiently at low costs through a simple process by using inexpensive low-purity, low-quality unsliced lime which was not usable in a conventional case.

The present invention relates to a method for preparing liquid calcium hydroxide.
