The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for separating a mold from a waffle slab. The apparatus comprises a support rack, a screw rod, a coupling unit, and a driving element. The screw rod is installed on a screw hole of the support rack to be rotatable. The coupling unit is installed on one end of the screw rod and is configured to mesh with the mold. The driving element provides torque to the screw rod by being connected with the other end of the screw rod.
