According to one aspect of the present invention, the deployment device is for deploying a deployment target in water, comprising: a floating body; and a plurality of constituent hydrofoils supported by the floating body and spaced apart from each other in the front and rear directions, wherein an airfoil cross section of each component hydrofoil partially overlaps an outline of the airfoil cross section of a virtually set virtual hydrofoil.
