The present invention provides a tailgate opening/closing apparatus and method for estimating a user's height using a rear camera and automatically adjusting a tailgate opening amount (opening height or degree of opening) based on the estimated user's height. According to the present invention, since the tailgate opening/closing apparatus of a vehicle automatically adjusts the opening amount according to the height of a user, the inconvenience of one user having to readjust the opening amount of the tailgate set by another user can be avoided. In particular, there is an effect of increasing the convenience of the electric tailgate.
본 발명은 전동식 테일 게이트의 편리성을 증대시키기 위해, 후방 카메라를 기반으로 사용자의 신장을 추정하여 테일 게이트의 열림량을 자동으로 조정한다.
