ELONGATED RAMP IN LIFTING SYSTEM FOR A STAIRWAY
The present invention relates to a lifting system (1) for stairs, wherein the lifting system may assume a stair position and a platform lift position which are at least two positions. The lifting system is provided with a rotatable ramp (9) to enable an ambulatory person to enter or exit the lifting system when the lifting system is in the platform lift position, wherein the ramp may rotate along at least part of the outermost edge of the stages (2, 3). The invention also relates to a method of operating a lifting system, and wherein an operation is made to transform the lifting system from a stair position to a platform lift position to enable people with walking disabilities to go from a lower level to a higher level, or from a higher level to a lower level and/or to help people with walking disabilities get from a lower level to a higher level or from a higher level to a lower level. Additionally, the present invention relates to a computer program.
