APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DETECTING FAILURE PREDICTION OF CONSTRUCTION HEAVY EQUIPMENT
The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for predicting a failure in a control unit by monitoring a programmable logic controller (PLC) of construction heavy equipment. The method comprises the steps of: collecting control data from the PLC of the construction heavy equipment; classifying the collected control data according to characteristics; identifying error signals from the classified control data; calculating an error occurrence frequency based on the identified error signals; predicting a probability of failure in a control device of the construction heavy equipment by analyzing the trend of error occurrence frequency for the control data based on the calculated error occurrence frequency; and notifying a predicted failure in the control device based on the predicted probability of failure. The present invention can detect and monitor potential failure of a control device in advance.
