ELECTRIC POWERED LATCH APPARATUS FOR LOCKING DOOR
A disclosed electric door latch device comprises: an electric motor having a rotating motor shaft; a sector gear rotating in one direction and in the opposite direction of the one direction according to the rotational direction of the motor shaft; a catch that is elastically biased to rotate in a direction in which the door is unlocked, and rotates in a direction in which the door is locked when the sector gear rotates in one direction; and a pawl that is elastically biased to rotate in a direction that blocks the catch when the catch is rotated in a direction in which the door is locked, and rotates in a direction in which the catch is not blocked when the sector gear rotates in the opposite direction. Thus, the present invention can provide the electric door latch device in which a power cinching function and a power release function are performed by the power of one electric motor.
