FIELD: technological processes.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat treatment of materials used as aggregates in construction. In the method of producing particles of porous aggregate, based on the movement of concentrate granules in the direction from the upper section to the lower section of the shaft furnace of the concentrate particles and their heating to a temperature of 400–1,300 °C with the products of combustion of a stream of gas jets in a stream of air jets with the production of particles of a porous aggregate, these products of combustion are brought together with particles of a porous aggregate from the lower section of the shaft furnace, said furnace includes a first upper section, in which combustion products are obtained by introducing axial gas flows through the nozzles of the collector of the supply unit and entering the first radial air flows through the perforations of the casing, and then the axial velocity of the above particles is reduced by introducing additional axial jets of gas flow through the nozzle collector additional supply unit and enter the second radial air flow through the perforations of the casing of the second lower section.
