An omnidirectional relief pattern, creating an omnidirectional ventilation and drainage plane, may be located between a front surface of the first siding panel and a back surface of the second siding panel. In certain embodiments, another omnidirectional ventilation and drainage plane is located between the siding panels and an internal layer.
