The vehicle includes a main door and an access opening. The access opening allows the passage of the pet into and out of the vehicle through the main door. The pet door closes and opens the access opening. The at least one door actuator allows the user to automatically operate the pet door. The control unit processes the commands from the at least one control panel which are inputted by the user with the at least one control panel. The power source provides the necessary power to the at least one door actuator.
