A fused grain having the following chemical composition in percent by weight in relation to the oxides: ZrO2: 16% to 30%, provided that HfO2<2%, Al2O3: percentage needed to bring the total to 100%, Cr2O3: ≥0.2%, TiO2: ≥0.5%, Cr2O3+TiO2: <7%, other elements: <3%, provided that SiO2+CaO+MgO<1.5%.
