A locking unit is engaged to the housing and selectively engages the second terminus the cable to secure the item to the stationary object. A biometric authenticator is engaged to the housing and is operationally engaged to the locking unit. The biometric authenticator authenticates a physiological characteristic of a user, positioning the biometric authenticator to signal the locking unit to release the cable.
