VARIABLE SPEED PUMPING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A variable speed pumping system coupled to a fluid circuit of an aquatic application is provided. The variable speed pumping system includes a pump having a motor, a variable speed drive in electrical communication with the motor, a pump housing designed to substantially enclose the motor and the variable speed drive, an onboard controller coupled to the variable speed drive, and an electrical communication assembly in communication with the onboard controller. The electrical communication assembly includes an IO expansion module. A plurality of pool pad devices is communicatively coupled to the onboard controller, and an external sensing device is communicatively coupled to the onboard controller. The onboard controller is configured to transmit instructions to control the plurality of pool pad devices, receive data from the external sensing device, and transmit the received data to one of a server or a remote user device.
