The spa apparatus further includes a basin structure that houses the basin, a chair that is attached to the basin structure and a fluid drainage system that includes a drainage element and an external control element. The drainage element is coupled to the drainage opening and the external control element controls the drainage element to open and shut the drainage opening. The external control element is attached to the basin structure remote from the basin.
