AERATION BED AND COMPOSTING SYSTEM
An aeration bed and composting system for aerating and/or drying of organic matter, materials or biomass to facilitate at least one stage or phase of a composting process. The composting system facilitates ready removal of useable portions of compost following completion of phases of the composting process. The composting system includes a holding area for holding a quantity of compostable material. The holding area has a base with at least one permeable portion. At least one chamber is located below the holding area. The chamber has an inlet to direct oxygen-containing fluid into the chamber and an outlet for directing matter outwardly from the chamber. An opening of the outlet is disposed lower in the chamber relative to an opening of the inlet. Creation of positive pressure within the chamber drives air upwardly through the permeable portion of the base of the holding area and into the compostable material.
L'invention concerne un lit d'aération et un système de compostage pour l'aération et/ou le séchage de matière organique, de matériaux ou de biomasse pour faciliter au moins un stade ou une phase du processus de compostage. Le système de compostage facilite l'élimination rapide de parties utilisables du compost suite à l'achèvement des phases du processus de compostage. Le système de compostage comprend une zone d'attente pour la conservation d'une quantité de matériau compostable. La zone d'attente a une base comportant au moins une partie perméable. Au moins un compartiment est localisé en dessous de la zone d'attente. La zone d'attente présente un orifice d'entrée pour diriger le fluide contenant de l'oxygène à l'intérieur du compartiment et un orifice de sortie pour diriger la matière vers l'extérieur du compartiment. Une ouverture de l'orifice de sortie est disposée en position inférieure dans le compartiment par rapport à une ouverture de l'orifice d'entrée. La création de pression positive à l'intérieur du compartiment dirige l'air vers le haut à travers la partie perméable de la base de la zone d'attente et à l'intérieur dans le matériau compostable.
