PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF PRECIPITATED SILICA, PRECIPITATED SILICA AND ITS USES, IN PARTICULAR FOR THE REINFORCEMENT OF POLYMERS
The invention relates to a process for the preparation of a novel precipitated silica, wherein: a silicate is reacted with an acidifying agent, so as to obtain a silica suspension; said silica suspension is filtered, so as to obtain a filter cake; said filter cake is subjected to a liquefaction operation optionally in the presence of an alunniniunn compound; wherein 2-methylglutaric acid is added to the filter cake, during or after the liquefaction operation. It also relates to a novel precipitated silica and to its uses.
L'invention concerne un procédé pour la préparation d'une nouvelle silice précipitée. Un silicate est mis à réagir avec un agent acidifiant, de manière à obtenir une suspension de silice ; ladite suspension de silice est filtrée, de manière à obtenir un gâteau de filtration ; ledit gâteau de filtration est soumis à une opération de liquéfaction éventuellement en présence d'un composé aluminium ; de l'acide 2-méthylglutarique étant ajouté au gâteau de filtration, pendant ou après l'opération de liquéfaction. L'invention porte également sur une nouvelle silice précipitée et ses utilisations.
