An unfoldable building element comprises a support structure, a first building section rotatably coupled to the support structure about a first axis, a second building section rotatably coupled to the first section, the first building section and the second building section being rotatably coupled about a second axis parallel to the first axis, and a strut rotatably coupled to the support structure and to the second building section. Rotation of the first building section about the first axis includes rotation of the second building section about the second axis. The first and second building sections have a folded configuration and an unfolded configuration, and rotation of the first building section about the first axis moves the first and second building sections from the folded configuration to the unfolded configuration.
