A hinge assembly is provided having first and second parts pivotally connected together, with one of the parts having a hinge cup (13} and being connectable to a first element and the other part being connectable to a second element. The assembly includes a linear damping device (17) and means for actuating it over at least part of the range of relative pivotal movement between the two elements. The damping device (17) is arranged to be mounted in the hinge cup (13).
L'invention concerne un ensemble charnière comportant des première et seconde parties raccordées pivotantes, l'une des parties comprenant un boîtier (13) et pouvant être raccordée à un premier élément, et l'autre partie pouvant être raccordée au second élément. L'ensemble comprend un dispositif d'amortissement linéaire (17) et des moyens pour l'actionner sur au moins une partie de la plage de mouvement pivotant relatif entre les deux éléments.
