INORGANIC FILLED LIGHTWEIGHT POLYURETHANE COMPOSITES
Provided are construction products with a density in the range from about 10 pcf to about 125 pcf and comprising an inorganic filler cross-linked in a polyurethane matrix produced by an exothermic reaction between at least one alcohol having two or more reactive hydroxyl groups per molecule and at least one isocyanate having more than one reactive isocyanate group per molecule, wherein a molar ratio of the alcohol to the isocyanate is in the range from 0.25:1 to 5:1. Methods for making the products are provided as well.
L'invention concerne des produits de construction présentant une densité dans la plage d'environ 10 pcf à environ 125 pcf et comprenant une charge inorganique réticulée dans une matrice de polyuréthane produite par une réaction exothermique entre au moins un alcool présentant deux groupes hydroxyle, ou plus, réactifs par molécule et au moins un isocyanate présentant plus d'un groupe réactif isocyanate par molécule, un rapport molaire de l'alcool à l'isocyanate se situant dans la plage allant de 0,25:1 à 5:1. L'invention concerne également des procédés pour fabriquer de tels produits.
