Disclosed is a roof tent having a sliding cover, the roof tent comprising: a tent body (10) having a first base (11), and a second base (12) which is folded and unfolded with respect to the first base (11); and a clamp (20) which supports the first base (11) with respect to the roof of a vehicle, the roof tent further having a cover body (30) which covers the tent body (10), wherein the cover body (30) is configured to be extracted from the first base (11) by being slidingly moved in the horizontal direction with respect to the first base (11) of the tent body (10), or to be retracted to the first base (11) by being slidingly moved in the horizontal direction with respect to the first base (11) of the tent body (10) by a first extraction and retraction means (31) installed on the first base (11), and by a second extraction and retraction means installed on the bottom end of the cover body (30).
