The invention relates to a household sanitary installation (1) which has a receptacle (10) for collecting household wastewater coupled with a network (11) for discharging wastewater, characterised in that the sanitary installation comprises a wastewater recovery device (2), which includes: a wastewater recovery vessel (3); a member (4), coupled with the collection container, for diverting wastewater to the discharge network and to the recovery vessel; a means (5) for actuating the diverting member (4) so as to divert wastewater towards the recovery vessel; and a means (6) for drawing wastewater from the recovery vessel.
