UNDERWATER TRENCHING APPARATUS AND PUMPING APPARATUS
An underwater trenching apparatus and pumping apparatus and method of operating an underwater trenching apparatus is disclosed. The underwater trenching apparatus and pumping apparatus includes: first and second pumps and a trench-cutting jetting tool with first and second sections, the first pump having an inlet for fluid connection with a source of water and an outlet fluidly connected to the first section of the jetting tool, the second pump having an inlet for fluid connection with a source of water and an outlet fluidly connected to the second section of the jetting tool, wherein the outlet of the first pump is fluidly connected to the inlet of the second pump by valve means that is operable to divert at least a portion of an outlet flow of the first pump to the inlet of the second pump.
Cette invention concerne un appareil sous-marin de creusement de tranchées et de pompage, ainsi qu'un procédé de fonctionnement d'un appareil sous-marin de creusement de tranchées. L'appareil sous-marin de creusement de tranchées et de pompage comprend : des première et seconde pompes et un outil de tranchage à jet avec des première et seconde sections, la première pompe présentant une admission pour un raccordement fluidique avec une source d'eau et une sortie en communication fluidique avec la première section de l'outil à jet, la seconde pompe présentant une admission pour un raccordement fluidique avec une source d'eau et une sortie en communication fluidique avec la seconde section de l'outil à jet, la sortie de la première pompe étant en communication fluidique avec l'admission de la seconde pompe par des moyens de vanne conçus pour faire dévier au moins une partie d'un écoulement de sortie de la première pompe vers l'admission de la seconde pompe.
