MIXTURE OF BENZOXAZINE RESIN AND CYANATE ESTER RESIN FOR PYROLISIS DENSIFICATION OF CARBON-CARBON COMPOSITES
A method of forming carbon-carbon composites includes molding carbon fibers with a compound comprising a blend of benzoxazine resin and cyanate ester resin; and pyrolyzing the compound to form the carbon-carbon composite. The moulding can be RTM. A carbon-carbon composite includes carbon fibers impregnated with a compound comprising a blend of benzoxazine resin and cyanate ester resin. The benzoxazine resin has preferably a char yield of greater than 65%.
L'invention concerne un procédé de formation de composites carbone-carbone consistant à mouler des fibres de carbone avec un composé comprenant un mélange de résine benzoxazine et de résine d'ester de cyanate ; et pyrolyser le composé pour former le composite carbone-carbone. Un composite carbone-carbone comprend des fibres de carbones imprégnées d'un composé contenant un mélange de résine benzoxazine et d'ester de cyanate.
