DEVICE FOR TWISTING A FIBRILLATED STRIP
A device and a method for twisting a flat fibrillated strip for producing artificial turf, the device comprising a hollow shaft having a central axis of rotation through which the flat fibrillated strip is continuously passed and advanced; a swingably mounted deflecting element mounted on the hollow shaft to guide the flat fibrillated strip in a concentric path around the central axis of rotation; and a limiting element disposed on the hollow shaft to limit the outward deflection of the flat fibrillated strip; wherein a passage area is oriented orthogonally to the central axis of rotation and is configured such that the flat fibrillated strip undergoes deformation when it passes through the passage area.
