ARTIFICIAL TURF INFILL WITH COATED NATURAL FIBER
The invention provides for a method of manufacturing artificial turf infill (202, 202', 202"). The method comprises providing (800) a base composition comprising a natural fiber (500), a at least one first type of of pigment, and a fluid binding agent. The fluid binding agent comprises at least one type of polymer component. The natural fiber comprises any one of the following: hemp fiber, burlap fiber, sisal fiber, elephant grass, cotton, coconut fiber, and combinations thereof. The method further comprises mixing (802) the base composition. The method further comprise adding (804) water and a catalyst to the base composition during the mixing of the base composition to cure the fluid binding agent and the at least one first type of of pigment into a base coating (502) of the natural fiber.
L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un élément de remplissage de gazon artificiel (202, 202', 202''). Le procédé consiste à obtenir (800) une composition de base comprenant une fibre naturelle (500), au moins un premier type de pigment et un agent de liaison fluide. L'agent de liaison au fluide comprend au moins un type de composant polymère. La fibre naturelle comprend l'un quelconque des éléments suivants : fibre de chanvre, fibre de toile, fibre de sisal, herbe à éléphant, coton, fibre de noix de coco, et leurs combinaisons. Le procédé consiste en outre à mélanger (802) la composition de base. Le procédé consiste en outre à ajouter (804) de l'eau et un catalyseur à la composition de base pendant le mélange de la composition de base pour durcir l'agent de liaison fluide et ledit au moins un premier type de pigment en un revêtement de base (502) de la fibre naturelle.
