SURFACE MOUNT SECURITY BARRIER
The invention provides a security barrier section (10) which has first (12) and second (14) barrier islands and cables (28, 30) there between. Each barrier island comprises a cast concrete block (16) having a front face and a rear face and a spring steel post (22) extending upwardly from a top face of the cast concrete block at a location between the front face and the rear face. An attachment means (26) is located on, or extending from, at least one of the front face and the rear face. At least one first cable (28) extends between the spring steel posts (22) of said the first (12) and second (14) barrier islands and is attached thereto by cable attachments. At least one second cable (30) extends between the attachment means (26) of said first (12) and second (14) barrier islands and is also attached thereto by cable attachments. The cable attachments are configured to allow said cable to slip in said cable attachment under loading.
L'invention concerne une section barrière de sécurité (10) qui comporte une première île-barrière (12) et une second île-barrière (14) et des câbles (28, 30) entre lesdites îles-barrières. Chaque île-barrière comprend un bloc de béton coulé (16) ayant une face avant et une face arrière et un montant en acier à ressort (22) s'étendant vers le haut à partir d'une face supérieure du bloc de béton coulé en un emplacement situé entre la face avant et la face arrière. Un moyen de fixation (26) est situé sur la face avant et/ou la face arrière, ou s'étend à partir de la face avant et/ou de la face arrière. Au moins un premier câble (28) s'étend entre les montants d'acier à ressort (22) desdites première île-barrière (12) et seconde île-barrière (14) et est fixé à ces dernières par des fixations de câble. Au moins un second câble (30) s'étend entre le moyen de fixation (26) desdites première île-barrière (12) et seconde île-barrière (14) et est également fixé à ces dernières par des fixations de câble. Les fixations de câble sont conçues pour permettre audit câble de glisser dans ladite fixation de câble sous l'effet d'une charge.
