A passage management system (1) comprises a receiver (4) and a management device (3). The receiver (4) receives identification information from an identification tag (5). A third determination unit (13) determines, with respect to the identification information received by the receiver (4), whether a door (2) corresponding to the receiver (4) is stored in a storage unit (9) as a door through which passage is permitted. A fourth determination unit (14) determines, with respect to the identification information received by the receiver (4), whether the door (2) corresponding to the receiver (4) is stored in the storage unit (9) as a door subject to automatic authentication. An operation unit (16) does not perform a non-permitted action when the fourth determination unit (14) determines that the information is not stored in the storage unit (9).
