PREVENTING DISTURBANCES OF UNDERGROUND CONDUIT
A protective mat for covering buried conduit in the form of a rectangular structure having upper and lower sections wherein the upper section includes elongated members, a sheet structure having a plurality of downward facing open cells, or an open grid or grating and wherein the lower section includes elongated members, a sheet structure having a plurality of upward facing cells, or an open grid or grating; a forward end that includes one or more protruding elements; and a rearward end that includes one or more recesses that are configured and dimension for receiving the protruding element(s) of a similarly configured adjacent mat. Thus, the protruding element(s) and recess(es) are associated with and located on the lower section of the mat such that the protruding element(s) of one mat can be inserted in the recess(es) of and adjacent mat to interlock the mats together.
Cette invention concerne un mat de protection pour recouvrir un conduit enfoui, sous la forme d'une structure rectangulaire ayant des sections supérieure et inférieure, la section supérieure comprenant des éléments allongés, une structure en feuille ayant une pluralité de cellules ouvertes tournées vers le bas, ou une grille ou un réseau ouvert et la section inférieure comprenant des éléments allongés, une structure en feuille ayant une pluralité de cellules tournées vers le haut, ou une grille ou un réseau ouvert ; une extrémité avant qui comprend un ou plusieurs élément(s) saillant(s) ; et une extrémité arrière qui comprend un ou plusieurs évidement(s) qui est/sont configuré(s) et dimensionné(s) pour recevoir le(s) élément(s) saillant(s) d'un mat adjacent configuré de façon similaire. Ainsi, le(s) élément(s) saillant(s) et le(s) évidement(s) sont associés à la section inférieure du mat et disposés sur celle-ci de telle sorte que le(s) élément(s) saillant(s) d'un mat peut/peuvent être inséré(s) dans le(s) évidement(s) du mat adjacent pour emboîter les mats mutuellement.
