A DAMPER FOR ABSORBING SHOCK GENERATED UPON DOCKING A MOVING STRUCTURE WITH A STATIONARY STRUCTURE OR FOUNDATION
A damper for absorbing impact shock generated upon docking of a moving structure with a stationary structure or foundation is shown, the damper comprising a cylinder (1) connectable to the docking structure, the cylinder arranged with a cap end and a head end and having a piston (2) arranged movable in the cylinder and separating a cylinder cap volume (13) from a cylinder head volume (10). A check valve (14), a pressure relief valve (15) with adjustable opening pressure and an orifice (16; 23) of static size are respectively arranged in the cap end of the cylinder, wherein under constant load from the piston during a terminal stroke length of the damper in compression, the orifice provides a restricted flow from cylinder cap volume generating a constant pressure in the cylinder cap volume below the opening pressure of the pressure relief valve.
L'invention concerne un amortisseur qui permet d'absorber un choc d'impact généré lors de l'amarrage d'une structure mobile à une structure ou base fixe, l'amortisseur comprenant un cylindre (1) pouvant être relié à la structure d'amarrage, le cylindre étant équipé d'une extrémité de capuchon et d'une extrémité de tête, ayant un piston (2) agencé mobile dans le cylindre et séparant un volume de capuchon de cylindre (13) d'un volume de tête de cylindre (10). Un clapet anti-retour (14), une soupape de surpression (15) ayant une pression d'ouverture réglable et un orifice (16 ; 23) de taille statique sont respectivement agencés dans l'extrémité de capuchon du cylindre, l'orifice fournissant, sous une charge constante provenant du piston pendant une longueur de course de terminal de l'amortisseur en compression, un écoulement limité provenant du volume de capuchon de cylindre générant une pression constante dans le volume de capuchon de cylindre au-dessous de la pression d'ouverture de la soupape de surpression.
