The present invention provides a device which effectively absorbs repetitive shock energy, such as vibration-shock, by using a composite tube. By employing the configuration above, a shock energy absorption device can effectively absorb shock energy caused by a tensile or compressive shock load by using a composite tube. Such a shock energy absorption device can be applied to a building and thus can be used as a vibration control device capable of coping with a repetitive earthquake.
