LEACHABLE CERAMIC MATERIALS FOR USE IN CASTING
Supports for supporting mould parts and/or cores in investment casting, comprise support material comprising:- • a mechanically supportive continuous matrix phase comprising alumina; • at least one second phase interpenetrating the matrix phase and providing a pathway for leachants to penetrate into the material; wherein the support material comprises: in the range of 1 wt% and 12 wt% of the second phase; and less than 15 vol% voids.
Cette invention concerne des supports pour supporter des parties de moule et/ou des noyaux lors d'un moulage à la cire perdue, comprennent un matériau de support comprenant : • une phase de matrice continue de support mécanique comprenant de l'alumine; • au moins une seconde phase interpénétrant la phase de matrice et fournissant un trajet pour que des agents de lixiviation puissent pénétrer dans le matériau; le matériau de support comprenant : dans la plage de 1 % en poids à 12 % en poids de la seconde phase; et moins de 15 % en volume de vides.
