MULTI-DENSITY MOULDED EXPANDED POLYSTYRENE PANEL, PROCESS FOR THE MANUFACTURE THEREOF, AND APPARATUS THEREFOR
Multi-density moulded product panel (8), process for its manufacture, and manufacturing apparatus therefor, the product panel comprising at least two outer layers (10, 11) of expanded polystyrene beads, each of the at least two outer layers having a first density, and an inner core layer (9) of expanded polystyrene beads having a second density lower than the first density, sandwiched between the outer layers. The product panel is substantially oblong in shape and has an average density greater than, or equal to, about 10 kg/m. It also has a curved deformation measured against a normal running parallel to the height, perpendicular to the length, and centered at a midpoint in the thickness, of the multi-density continuously-molded product panel, of less than or equal to 10%, substantially over the entire length of said product.
L'invention concerne un panneau de produit moulé multi-densité (8), un procédé pour sa fabrication, et un appareil de fabrication pour celui-ci, le panneau de produit comprenant au moins deux couches externes (10, 11) de billes de polystyrène expansé, chacune desdites au moins deux couches externes ayant une première densité, et une couche centrale interne (9) de billes de polystyrène expansé ayant une seconde densité inférieure à la première densité, prise en sandwich entre les couches externes. Le panneau de produit est de forme sensiblement oblongue et a une densité moyenne supérieure ou égale à environ 10 kg/m. Il a également une déformation incurvée mesurée par rapport à une normale s'étendant parallèlement à la hauteur, perpendiculairement à la longueur, et centrée au niveau d'un point médian dans l'épaisseur, du panneau de produit moulé en continu multi-densité, inférieure ou égale à 10 %, sensiblement sur toute la longueur dudit produit.
