FIRE PROTECTION RETROFITS FOR HIGH-RISE BUILDINGS
Buildings, particularly high-rise buildings, are retrofitted with a fire resistant liquid-applied material, preferably a material that intumesces with heat, where the exterior of the building is formed of metal clad combustible foam composite panels. Once the fire resistant coating has been applied, new thin panels matching the original fascia are installed outside the original composite panels, with space between, so that the appearance of the building is maintained.
L'invention concerne des bâtiments, en particulier des immeubles, qui font l'objet d'une installation rétroactive à l'aide d'un matériau auquel un liquide résistant au feu est appliqué, de préférence un matériau intumescent avec la chaleur, l'extérieur du bâtiment étant formé de panneaux composites de mousse combustible à revêtement métallique. Une fois que le revêtement résistant au feu a été appliqué, de nouveaux panneaux minces correspondant aux planches d'origine sont installés à l'extérieur des panneaux composites d'origine avec un espace entre eux de sorte que l'aspect du bâtiment est préservé.
