TRANSPARENT ADHESIVE
Described herein is a transparent adhesive for joining transparent ceramics, the transparent adhesive having the chemical formula: MxSiyOz, wherein M is a metal selected from the group consisting of aluminium, lead, titanium, yttrium and zirconium; and wherein M is in an amount of about 50 to about 85 wt%. There is also described a method of making a transparent adhesive, a method of applying a transparent adhesive, a transparent ceramic comprising a transparent ceramic surface coated with a transparent adhesive and a transparent panel formed from a plurality of transparent ceramic pieces.
L'invention concerne un adhésif transparent pour assembler des céramiques transparentes, l'adhésif transparent ayant la formule chimique : MxSiyOz, dans laquelle M est un métal choisi dans le groupe consistant en l'aluminium, le plomb, le titane, l'yttrium et le zirconium; et M étant présent en une quantité d'environ 50 à environ 85 % en poids. L'invention concerne également un procédé de fabrication d'un adhésif transparent, un procédé d'application d'un adhésif transparent, une céramique transparente comprenant une surface de céramique transparente revêtue d'un adhésif transparent, et un panneau transparent formé d'une pluralité de pièces céramiques transparentes.
