The invention relates mainly to a protection device (5a) for motorcyclists, adapted to be secured to a road safety barrier (1 ) with a plurality of poles (3) regularly spaced out, the protection device (5a) comprising a longitudinal beam (6a) and a spacer (7a) extending longitudinally alongside the rear side of at least one part of said beam (6a) and adapted to be secured to said poles, wherein the beam (6a) and the spacer (7a) are assembled together so as to define, in said part of the beam, a longitudinal damping volume (V) with a closed cross-section.
Cette invention concerne principalement un dispositif de protection (5a) pour motocyclistes, conçu pour être fixé à une barrière de sécurité routière (1) comportant une pluralité de poteaux (3) régulièrement espacés, le dispositif de protection (5a) comprenant une poutre longitudinale (6a) et une entretoise (7a) s'étendant longitudinalement le long du côté arrière d'au moins une partie de ladite poutre longitudinale (6a) et apte à être fixée auxdits poteaux, la poutre longitudinale (6a) et l'entretoise (7a) étant assemblées l'une à l'autre de manière à définir, dans ladite partie de la poutre, un volume d'amortissement longitudinal (V) à section transversale fermée.
