A device (1) for closing an opening in the wall of a building, comprising four lateral profile members (2-5) together forming a frame (6) for receiving and holding a closing plate (7) oriented in a plane (P1). The locking profile members (8-11) cooperate with longitudinal ribs (110) provided on the lateral profile members (2-5) in order to effectively retain the closing plate (7). Removing the locking profile members (8-11) requires little effort due to interruptions (21, 22, 31, 32, 41, 42, 51, 52) in the longitudinal ribs (110) that allow the locking profile members (8-11) to be removed by sliding them longitudinally relative to the lateral profile members (2-5).
