Provided is a work machine, etc. for which the condition of the work site thereof can be confirmed from externally by a user such as an operator or supervisor. To achieve this, a work machine according to one embodiment of the present invention (for example, a shovel 100) is provided with: a sensor (for example, an image capturing device 40) that acquires information relating to the condition of the surroundings the work machine; and a transmission unit (for example, a transmission unit 305C) that transmits, to an external device (for example, an assistance device 200 and a management device 300), information relating to the condition of the surroundings of the work machine, the information being acquired by the sensor or generated on the basis of the information acquired by the sensor.
