The present invention relates to a toilet having an infrared light generator, and to a toilet having an infrared light generator, the toilet having: a groove part recessed in the outer surface at one side of a body of the toilet including a body made from a glass or plastic material; and the infrared light generator inserted into and fixed to the groove part such that an infrared light generated in the infrared light generator is transmitted into the inner space of the toilet for accommodating contents, and thus the infrared light is emitted at the body of a sitter sitting on the toiler, thereby allowing beneficial effects to be obtained according to the emission of the infrared light. To this end, the present invention relates to a toilet having an infrared light generator, the toilet being formed such that all areas of a body are manufactured in an integrated form without perforation of an infrared light-transmitting area, which is the inner surface of a groove part, formed such that the infrared light generated in the infrared light generator provided in the groove part is transmitted into the inner space of the toilet, thereby preventing pollutants such as urine and feces from leaking onto the infrared light generator, and thus the breakdown and malfunction of the infrared light generator are prevented.
