A building element(20) for forming a part of a modular housing unit(24), the building element(20) comprising a load-bearing wood-based panel(12); and a sandwich panel(10) fixedly connected to, and substantially parallel with, the wood-based panel(12); wherein the sandwich panel(10) comprises two outer layers(14) and a core layer(16) between the outer layers(14). Modular housing units(24) comprising at least one building element(20), buildings(22) comprising at least one modular housing unit(24), and a method of assembling a building element(20) for forming a part of a modular housing unit(24),are also provided.
L'invention concerne un élément de construction (20) permettant de former une partie d'une unité de logement modulaire (24). L'élément de construction (20) comprend un panneau à base de bois portant une charge (12); et un panneau sandwich (10) relié de manière fixe au panneau à base de bois (12), et sensiblement parallèle à celui-ci. Le panneau sandwich (10) comprend deux couches externes (14) et une couche centrale (16) entre les couches externes (14). L'invention concerne également des unités de logement modulaires (24) comprenant au moins un élément de construction (20), des bâtiments (22) comprenant au moins une unité de logement modulaire (24), et un procédé d'assemblage d'un élément de construction (20) pour former une partie d'une unité de logement modulaire (24).
