SELECTIVE SECURING OF COMPUTING DEVICES WITH DOCKING STATIONS
A method of selectively securing a computing device at a docking station may include creating a security key between a security application programming interface (API) and an application executed on the computing device; upon logging into and execution of a basic input/output system (BIOS) of the computing device by a user, registering the application with the security API using the security key; and, upon receipt of a request to remove the computing device from the docking station, validating the user is authorized to remove the computing device from the docking station based on settings associated with the application.
Un procédé de sécurisation sélective d'un dispositif informatique au niveau d'une station d'accueil peut comprendre la création d'une clé de sécurité entre une interface de programmation d'application (API) de sécurité et une application exécutée sur le dispositif informatique ; lors de la connexion et de l'exécution d'un système d'entrée/sortie de base (BIOS) du dispositif informatique par un utilisateur, il convient d'enregistrer l'application avec l'API de sécurité à l'aide de la clé de sécurité ; et, lors de la réception d'une demande pour retirer le dispositif informatique de la station d'accueil, il convient de valider que l'utilisateur est autorisé à retirer le dispositif informatique de la station d'accueil sur la base de réglages associés à l'application.
