A refrigerator appliance (100) comprising a box body (120) and a drawer (125) slidably mounted in the box body. The drawer (125) includes a drawer body (146) and a door body (132) attached to the drawer body (146) by means of a hinge (140). By means of the connection manner of the hinge (140), the door body (132) can rotate relative to the drawer body (140) between a closed position and an open position. The drawer (125) further comprises a latch (162) configured to hold the door body (132) in the closed position when the latch (162) is in a locked position. The drawer (125) is slidable between a retracted position and an extended position, in the retracted position, the door body (132) of the drawer (125) is close to the box body (120), and in the extended position, the door body (132) of the drawer (125) is spaced apart from the box body (120). The latch (162) is configured to automatically unlock when the drawer (125) is slid to the extended position such that the door body (132) is rotatable to the open position when the drawer (125) is in the extended position.
