IMPROVEMENTS IN ENGINEERED TIMBER PRODUCTS USED IN BUILDING CONSTRUCTION
The present invention relates to habitable building construction and in particular, the use of sensors in connection with engineered timber components of buildings, and the post- construction monitoring of sensor output. A timber-based building product is provided having one or more sensors, each of the sensors being configured to sense a characteristic of the building product or the environment thereabout and output a sensed condition by way of an electric or electronic output signal.
La présente invention concerne une construction de bâtiment habitable et, en particulier, l'utilisation de capteurs en relation avec des composants de bois d'oeuvre modifiés de bâtiments, et la surveillance post-construction de la sortie de capteurs. L'invention concerne un produit de construction à base de bois d'oeuvre comportant un ou plusieurs capteurs, chacun des capteurs étant conçus pour détecter une caractéristique du produit de construction ou de l'environnement autour de celui-ci et fournir en sortie une condition détectée au moyen d'un signal de sortie électrique ou électronique.
