ARCHED STRUCTURE MADE OF BLOCKS
An arched structure comprising a first elongated footing and a second elongated footing positioned spaced apart and an arch disposed between the footings. The arch is a self-supporting arch comprising arcuate blocks successively dry stacked atop a removable scaffolding. A securing layer is affixed to the footings and spread over the top surface of the arch and a levelling layer is disposed over the securing layer. A damp proofing layer is also optionally provided over the leveling layer. Retaining walls are disposed spaced apart along an axial direction of the arch over the top surface which helps in retaining a filler material used to overfill the arch.
Une structure arquée comprend une première base allongée et une seconde base allongée positionnées espacées l'une de l'autre et une arche disposée entre les bases. L'arche est une arche autoportante comprenant des blocs arqués empilés à sec successivement au-dessus d'un échafaudage amovible. Une couche de fixation est fixée aux bases et s'étend sur la surface supérieure de l'arche et une couche de nivellement est disposée sur la couche de fixation. Une couche de protection contre l'humidité est également éventuellement disposée sur la couche de nivellement. Des parois de retenue sont disposées espacées le long d'une direction axiale de l'arc sur la surface supérieure, ce qui aide à retenir un matériau de remplissage utilisé pour remplir en excès l'arche.
