COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR MAKING THE SAME
The present invention provides a method for making a composite material, the method comprising: (i) providing a mixture comprising: (a) carbon fibres and/or lignocellulosic biomass fibres, preferably wherein the lignocellulosic biomass fibres comprise straw; and (b) at least one phenolic resin; (ii) providing an aqueous composition comprising aluminium dihydrogen phosphate and, optionally, alumina powder, having a pH of from 0.0 to 2.0, preferably from 0.6 to 1.0; (iii) introducing the mixture into a mould and compressing the mixture within the mould to form a moulded body; (iv) heating the moulded body under an inert atmosphere to pyrolyse the at least one phenolic resin to form a porous body; (v) infiltrating the porous body with the aqueous composition to form an infused porous body; and (vi) drying and curing the infused porous body to form the composite material.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un matériau composite, le procédé comprenant les étapes consistant à : (i) fournir un mélange comprenant : (a) des fibres de carbone et/ou des fibres de biomasse lignocellulosique, de préférence les fibres de biomasse lignocellulosique comprenant de la paille ; et (b) au moins une résine phénolique ; (ii) fournir une composition aqueuse comprenant du dihydrogénophosphate d'aluminium et, éventuellement, de la poudre d'alumine, ayant un pH de 0,0 à 2,0, de préférence de 0,6 à 1,0 ; (iii) introduire le mélange dans un moule et comprimer le mélange à l'intérieur du moule pour former un corps moulé ; (iv) chauffer le corps moulé dans une atmosphère inerte pour pyrolyser l'au moins une résine phénolique pour former un corps poreux ; (v) infiltrer, dans le corps poreux, la composition aqueuse pour former un corps poreux imprégné ; et (vi) sécher et durcir le corps poreux imprégné pour former le matériau composite.
