Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Halterahmen (100) für einen Steckverbinder zur Aufnahme von Kontakteinsätzen (200), mit einem Grundrahmen (110), welcher zwei einander gegenüberliegende Seitenwände (111, 112) und zwei einander gegenüberliegende Stirnwände (113, 114) aufweist, wobei die beiden Seitenwände (111, 112) und die beiden Stirnwände (113, 114) einen Innenraum (115) des Grundrahmens (110), in welchen die Kontakteinsätze (200) entlang einer Einführrichtung (R) einführbar sind, umschließen, wobei die Seitenwände (111, 112) jeweils eine in Richtung des Innenraums (115) zeigende Innenfläche (130) und jeweils eine von dem Innenraum (115) weggerichtete Außenfläche (131) aufweisen, und mit Befestigungsmitteln (116), welche in einem befestigten Zustand die in den Innenraum (115) des Grundrahmens (110) eingeführten Kontakteinsätze (200) an dem Grundrahmen (110) halten, wobei die Befestigungsmittel (116) jeweils ein Bügelelement (117) und einen Betätigungshebel (118) aufweisen, wobei das Bügelelement (117) in eine geschlossene Position, in welcher das Bügelelement (117) in Eingriff mit einer Haltenase (210) eines eingeführten Kontakteinsatzes (200) ist, und in eine geöffnete Position, in welcher das Bügelelement (117) außer Eingriff mit der Haltenase (210) des eingeführten Kontakteinsatzes (200) ist, überführbar ist, wobei in der geschlossenen Position das Bügelelement (117) mittels des Betätigungshebels (118) mit der Haltenase (210) verspannbar ist.
